Bracing for Children

Kids are not just small adults … they need special Children’s Bracing
In designing custom bracing for children we use a team approach. The team consists of the referring physician, physical and occupational therapist, orthotist, parents and the most important member of the team, the child.

We take into account all aspects of a child’s development, activity level and individual mobility needs. We can personalize each brace so it becomes an accepted part of a child’s rehabilitation. Each brace is hand crafted to the child’s individual fit and needs, to provide a Custom Fit and a Custom Function.

Braces for children can be fit for any part of the body, but are most commonly fit for the lower extremities. Conditions treated include:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Club Foot deformity
  • Hypotonic (low muscle tone) conditions
  • Idiopathic Toe Walking
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Developmental Delay
  • Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA)
