Extended Health Benefits

Insurance coverage for custom orthotics is typically included in extended health benefit packages determined by your employer. Many benefit packages cover the costs of custom orthotics in part, or in whole, as they are not covered by OHIP.

Since every person will have unique coverage, we highly recommend that you contact your company’s service provider for specific information about your policy and what percentage is covered.

How We Can Help

Our team can assist you in determining your coverage, the insurance requirements to receive coverage, and we can help you understand the coverage terminology provided by your insurance company.

We will provide you with all the necessary forms and receipts in order for you to effectively submit your orthotics insurance claim, and will review any questions about the insurance claims process with you.

Check your coverage and contact us for more information.

What are the requirements for insurance coverage?

Although plans will vary, most insurance providers will require the following to be submitted:

  • A prescription for custom orthotics from a recognized prescriber as outlined in your insurance plan
  • A detailed invoice
  • Personalized biomechanical and gait analysis
  • Details pertaining to the manufacturing process
